With a long and industrious career working alongside Jazz greats such as Sam Butera, Scott Hamilton, Al Casey, Buddy Tate, and Count Basie's own Al Grey, the established British Sultan of Swing talks about his integral role in the revival of Swing in London in the 80s which ballooned in popularity across the Atlantic in the 90s, his performances at the prestigious Blue Note Jazz Clubs in New York and Milan, his incredible 6th successive gig at the renowned UMBRIA JAZZ FESTIVAL this year, and his 14 amazing years in residency at the most famous venue in the Jazz Universe RONNIE SCOTT'S. We touch upon his performances playing at Carnegie Hall, providing just the right musical atmosphere at Sir Paul McCartney's wedding, bringing a smile to the face of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth not once, but twice; his breathtaking international schedule ahead in 2017, and how old friend and fellow musician VAN MORRISON is his biggest fan.

Anthea Redmond, Hostess [October 2016]
