My guest on JazzBites this week is a musician, singer/songwriter, and producer who came under the media spotlight after winning the popular TV series AUSTRALIAN IDOL in 2007. Her debut album later that year - THE WINNER'S JOURNEY - peaked at No: 11 in the ARIA album charts and was accredited platinum status. Her subsequent presence as a recording artist and composer has progressed to further inspired releases and encapsulates everything from Jazz to Electro-Pop. Today, she speaks from her home in London and talks about her overnight rise to fame, the restrictions of signing with a major record label, .
