This week my guests on JazzBites are a dynamic songwriting team committed to creating fervent and profound lyrics which define their innovative writing style. Gigi is a singer songwriter whose distinctive voice and ability as a composer have been recognised by leading artists in the field. Her list of talents is far-reaching and include writing poetry, co-writing a Jazz Ballet stage production with a classical composer, collaborating on a book with a famous British cartoonist, and a proficiency in teaching Ballet, Tap, and Jazz Dancing, about which she is both passionate and classically-trained.
Today, Gigi and her co-writing partner, bass player, and producer Mark Harold talk about their newly-released EP with 33JAZZ records, an exciting new album already on the horizon in the near future, and the terror of being held at gunpoint while on a visit to Uganda.
