This week my guest on JazzBites is a classically-trained musician, an accomplished and diverse performer, big band member, and has been at the helm of one of the greatest, award-winning Jazz venues in London for almost 40 years. His musical prowess has taken him on a journey from Soul to Rock to Folk, but his passion has remained constant with both Jazz and Brazilian music. Today, he shares with us his insight into his long and interesting career, his vast experience on the Jazz club scene in the heart of London, how speaking to an audience on an educational level is just as exciting as playing to a crowd; getting to know the young JAMIE CULLUM before fame came knocking at his door, and how it felt to be invited <to party> with the late great international Jazz icon, DAVE BRUBECK.
